What does your job as Financial Controller at Rijk Zwaan look like?

As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy and compliance while supporting strategic decision-making across the subsidiary. This includes preparing and analyzing financial reports by crop, department, and cluster; managing the budget and 5-year financial planning processes; and overseeing monthly reporting of balance sheets and profit & loss statements. You will ensure adherence to regulatory standards, coordinate internal and external audits, and implement robust internal control systems. Additionally, you will evaluate operational costs to enhance efficiency, maintain close communication with internal and external stakeholders, and provide guidance on financial and compliance matters to the management team.

We are looking for a Financial Controller with:

Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across departments. The role requires someone with a global mindset and an open, proactive attitude who can navigate complex financial environments with high integrity and professionalism. You will be able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and compliance. Experience with internal controls, audit coordination, and financial planning will be highly valued, as will a demonstrated ability to support strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis.

In addition we look for the following in your resume:

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Accounting and/or Financial Management
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Proficiency in using MS Office programs
