Reports To: Chief Financial Officer / Managing Director
Experience Required: 10+ years in a senior financial role
Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification
Job Purpose:
The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with IND AS, managing treasury functions, and driving financial strategies to support business goals. The role requires strong analytical skills, leadership capability, and thorough knowledge of financial and accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & IND AS Compliance
- Prepare and review financial statements as per IND AS and other applicable standards.
- Ensure accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and financial control processes.
Treasury Management
- Manage company’s cash flow, fund planning, and banking relationships.
- Oversee working capital and liquidity management.
- Optimize returns on surplus funds and ensure availability of funds for operations and growth.
Management Information System (MIS)
- Develop and maintain timely and accurate MIS for senior management.
- Monitor financial KPIs, trends, variances, and suggest corrective actions.
- Drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Taxation
- Ensure compliance with direct and indirect tax laws (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.).
- Liaise with tax consultants and authorities for assessments, filings, and litigation support.
- Plan and implement effective tax-saving strategies within legal frameworks.
Audit & Controls
- Coordinate internal and statutory audits; ensure timely closure with minimal observations.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and compliance mechanisms.
- Ensure audit readiness and proper documentation across financial functions.
Risk Management
- Identify, evaluate, and manage financial risks including credit, liquidity, and operational risks.
- Implement controls and mitigation strategies for identified risk areas.
Strategic Financial Planning
- Support CFO/Management in long-term business planning and investment decisions.
- Provide financial insights for strategic initiatives, cost optimization, and capital allocation.
- Participate in business expansion plans, M&A, and new projects feasibility studies.
Key Competencies:
- Deep knowledge of IND AS and regulatory reporting requirements
- Strong understanding of treasury operations and fund management
- Expertise in financial analysis and MIS reporting
- In-depth knowledge of taxation laws and compliance
- Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements
- Familiarity with audit procedures and statutory compliance
- Ability to identify and mitigate financial risks
- Strategic mindset with focus on business growth and financial health
