Financial Controller

AED 20,000 -25,000 + Family Medical and Air Ticket


Our client is looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join their Dubai manufacturing operations. The role will be responsible for establishing and leading a robust general ledger and controlling function in line with Group policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position requires deep expertise in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, and inventory valuation, and acts as a key finance partner to Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial teams, and other internal stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

Financial Control & Reporting

  • Lead month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting timelines.
  • Prepare, review, and post journals including accruals, provisions, leases, and other accounting adjustments.
  • Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of variances.
  • Finalise Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet figures for group reporting systems.
  • Produce ad-hoc and periodic financial reports to support divisional reporting and system integrations.
  • Deliver detailed weekly and monthly analysis of Sales, Cost of Sales, margins, and manufacturing variances.

Manufacturing, Costing & Inventory

  • Provide in-depth financial analysis related to product costing, pricing, purchasing, and manufacturing variances.
  • Manage inventory valuation processes, including standard cost updates and variance analysis.
  • Support and oversee physical inventory counts, ensuring accurate accounting treatment and system adjustments.
  • Act as a key finance partner to Operations and Supply Chain on cost control, efficiency, and profitability initiatives.

Systems & Process Control

  • Perform SAP FI/CO reconciliations and implement necessary manual adjustments.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial data across ERP systems and reporting platforms.
  • Act as first-level approver for purchase orders, ensuring correct GL coding and cost centre allocation.
  • Support users across Operations, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Finance with reporting and SAP-related technical queries.

Audit, Compliance & Tax

  • Provide significant support to both internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of audit requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and GAAP standards.
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and filing of monthly VAT returns.
  • Manage intercompany transactions end-to-end, including invoicing, settlements, reconciliations, and adjustments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Professional qualification preferred (CPA, CMA or equivalent)
  • 10 years of progressive finance and controlling experience
  • Mandatory experience within a manufacturing environment, with strong exposure to cost accounting and inventory management
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA (FI/CO)
  • JD Edwards
  • Power BI Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel with macro integration
