We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead all financial operations for Total Care Management, the management company supporting two dental practices, an e-commerce business, and an education company. This pivotal leadership role ensures financial integrity, liquidity stability, accurate reporting, and forward-looking financial strategy across multiple entities.
The Controller will oversee all accounting functions, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, manage cash flow across entities, and provide strategic financial insight to support growth. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, advanced analytical skills, and a proactive, ownership-driven approach within a multi-entity entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, and cash management
- Monitor bank accounts and liquidity daily; manage intercompany transfers and protect working capital
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure accurate financial statements
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory standards; oversee internal controls
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and financial reporting
- Oversee payroll coordination with PEO and ensure proper allocation across entities
- Manage lines of credit, debt obligations, and strategic payment planning
- Develop rolling cash flow forecasts and annual budgets
- Model growth scenarios including expansion, hiring, and product launches
- Analyze profitability by business line and support distribution and bonus planning
- Strengthen financial systems, documentation, and process automation
- Collaborate with auditors and maintain tax-ready financial documentation
- Serve as strategic financial advisor to CEOs and ownership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive accounting or financial leadership experience
- Experience as Controller or Assistant Controller preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
- Multi-entity experience highly preferred
- Proven cash flow management and forecasting expertise
- Experience with PEO payroll systems
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
- Strong financial modeling and reporting capabilities
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to interpret complex financial data

Compensation & Benefits
