Wi-Fiber is a rapidly growing telecommunications company expanding through acquisitions across multiple markets. We are hiring a Financial Controller to own the accounting function, bring structure to a complex multi-entity environment, and support the executive leadership team. This person will help shape financial strategy, drive long-term planning, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial processes. The VP of Finance leads forecasting and financial intelligence, manages the company's financial systems infrastructure, and works closely with the accounting function to ensure operational excellence. This role requires exceptional leadership capabilities and a proven track record in cost accounting. This is a full-time position.
The salary for this position is $175k base and $25k bonus with $25k of stock options.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting operations across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and GAAP compliance
- Own and optimize the monthly close process, delivering timely, reliable financial statements with clear variance analysis
- Partner with the CFO and executive leadership to support capital raise efforts, including financial materials, diligence support, and investor/lender reporting
- Prepare and deliver executive and board-level reporting, providing clear insights to support strategic decision-making
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and KPI development; build and maintain financial models to guide business performance and growth
- Ensure strong internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance with lender requirements and financial covenants
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, and accurate accounting for debt and financing activities
- Lead integration of acquisitions, including standardizing processes, supporting purchase accounting, and aligning reporting across entities
- Drive the transition to a scalable ERP system (e.g., NetSuite), including implementation, process redesign, and system integrations
- Implement scalable, efficient processes across AP, payroll, fixed assets, and revenue recognition; drive automation and continuous improvement
- Build, lead, and scale the accounting team, establishing high standards for accuracy, accountability, and performance
Qualifications
- Extensive hands-on experience in finance leadership.
- Strong background in cost accounting
- Demonstrated ability to lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting in a growth-oriented company.
- Skilled in analyzing financial data to drive strategic decisions and improve profitability.
- Ability to build and mentor high-performing finance teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional, remote teams and executive leadership.
- Familiarity with GAAP compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in managing cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships.
