Financial Controller

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Controller / Accounting Manager to take full ownership of our accounting operations. This is a key position within our organization, offering strong autonomy and direct impact on business performance.

You will be responsible for producing accurate financial statements, improving processes, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making. If you enjoy working in a dynamic environment where you can truly make a difference, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

• Manage the full accounting cycle:
• Accounts Payable & Receivable
• General Ledger
• Month-end close
• Bank reconciliations
• Fixed assets
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Deliver financial analysis and reporting, including:
• Variance analysis
• KPI dashboards
• Performance reports for leadership
• Drive process improvements and automation:
• Increase efficiency
• Strengthen internal controls
• Reduce manual work
• Support leadership with financial insights, budgeting, and forecastingWhat We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Nice to Have

• Experience in manufacturing
• Experience supervising staff
• Experience with in-house payroll
• Knowledge of Tennessee state tax compliance
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent designation (strong asset)
• 5–7 years of accounting experience in a U.S. company
• Including 2–3 years in a senior role (Controller, Accounting Manager, etc.)
• Strong experience in full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation
• Advanced skills in:
• Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query)
• Accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar)
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain high accuracy
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
