Financial Controller

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Financial Controller role based in Dubai. The Financial Controller will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger management, month-end and year-end closing, and preparation of accurate financial statements in compliance with applicable standards. The role involves managing budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring cash flow, and providing financial analysis to support strategic and operational decisions. The Financial Controller will implement and maintain internal controls, ensure timely financial reporting, and coordinate with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies. The individual will collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to optimize costs, manage financial risks, and support business growth in a fast-paced telecom technology environment.


Key Requirements/Qualifications

  • 10+ years of finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a Finance Controller or similar leadership role.
  • Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or ACA.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, IFRS, and mainland/offshore entity structures .
  • Experience managing multi-country operations, cross-border transactions, and international taxation.
  • Good understanding of African tax regulations , including VAT/GST, withholding taxes, and compliance requirements across key African markets.
  • Prior experience in Telecom, Technology, Cybersecurity, ICT, or related sectors preferred.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, cross-functional team.


What You'll Do:

  • Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE and international tax regulations.
  • Support commercial decision-making, contracts, and business expansion initiatives.
  • Manage audits, financial controls, and regional finance operations.
