Financial Controller (construction)

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead and manage the company’s financial operations, reporting, budgeting, and project cost control. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in the construction/contracting industry and be capable of supporting management in financial planning, profitability monitoring, and cash flow management.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Monitor P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Oversee project cost tracking, WIP reports, and revenue recognition
• Review subcontractor payments, variation orders, and project profitability
• Control overhead expenses and implement cost optimization measures
• Manage receivables, payables, and client collections
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE regulations
• Coordinate with auditors and maintain financial documentation
• Supervise and guide the finance team
• Support management in financial decision-making and business planning

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance
• CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA preferred
• 7–10 years experience in finance, including minimum 4 years in a managerial role
• Mandatory experience in construction or contracting companies
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and UAE financial regulations
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and accounting/ERP systems
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
