Job Purpose:
To oversee and manage the financial operations of the hotel/restaurant, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, cost control, and strategic financial planning to maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management & Reporting:
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide insights to management.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts for all departments.
  • Track actual performance vs. budget and advise on corrective actions.
  • Cost Control:
  • Monitor operating costs, food & beverage costs, and payroll.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Cash Flow & Treasury:
  • Oversee cash flow, bank transactions, and daily financial operations.
  • Ensure liquidity for operations and timely payments to suppliers.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance:
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure tax compliance and timely filing of statutory returns.
  • Team Management:
  • Supervise accounting and finance staff (e.g., finance managers, accountants).
  • Conduct training and performance evaluations for finance team.
  • Strategic Support:
  • Provide financial insights for decision-making on new projects, expansions, or investments.
  • Collaborate with operations managers to optimize profitability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • CPA/ACCA/CIMA certification is a plus.
  • 5+ years of finance experience, preferably in hotels or restaurants.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or hotel POS systems).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
