Ensure accurate financial control, reporting and performance management of projects, covering budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, cost control and cash flow, while acting as the finance business partner to project and commercial teams.
Work with project managers and commercial teams to prepare project budgets, cost baselines and financial models at tender and award stages.
Set up and maintain project financial structures in the ERP (cost centers, WBS, budget versions) and ensure proper coding of all project‑related costs and revenues.
Monitor project actuals versus budget (revenue, cost, margin, cash flow) and prepare monthly project P&Ls, variance analyses and commentary.
Support revenue recognition and WIP calculations (e.g. percentage‑of‑completion, milestone‑based), ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
Challenge project forecasts and ETC/EAC updates, validating assumptions on cost to complete, risks, contingencies and claims.
Review and validate project‑related journal entries, provisions, accruals and reclassifications in coordination with accounting.
Track and drive actions on project working capital: billing milestones, retentions, change orders, collections, advance payments, and subcontractor terms.
Prepare regular financial dashboards and KPIs for projects (backlog, margin evolution, variation orders, overdue AR, cash curve).
Participate in project review meetings and steering committees, highlighting financial risks/opportunities and recommending corrective actions.
Contribute to annual budgeting and periodic re‑forecasting cycles, consolidating project inputs into overall business plans.
Support internal and external audits by providing project financial analyses, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
Drive continuous improvement in project‑financial processes, tools and controls.
