seeking a Financial Coordinator to support coordination, tracking, and financial data integrity across the technology licensing and work planning portfolio.
This is a self-directed contract role focused on ensuring continuity and accuracy across software renewals, financial planning inputs, and portfolio tracking. The role will also help establish a structured, documented operating model that can be transitioned to an external managed services partner over time.
This is a hands-on role requiring both detailed execution and the ability to identify gaps and improve processes across a complex portfolio of ~200+ applications and vendor agreements.
Key Responsibilities
Renewal Coordination & Risk Management
- Manage a rolling 30/60/90-day view of upcoming technology contract renewals
- Engage application owners, finance, and procurement to ensure timely decisions and avoid lapses
Data Integrity & Portfolio Cleanup
- Validate, reconcile, and clean up financial and tracking data across the technology licensing portfolio (Smartsheet source of truth)
- Ensure consistency across contract terms, ownership, renewal dates, and financial data
Work Plan & Financial System Support
- Enter, maintain, and validate portfolio line items in:
- Planisware (project/work planning)
- Planful (OpEx budgeting & forecasting)
- Support development and submission of the 2027 technology work plan and 5-year technology work plan
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with internal application owners and functional stakeholders (primarily via email and Microsoft Teams) to gather, validate, and confirm data
- Drive follow-ups and close gaps — not just request information
Process & Documentation
- Document workflows, controls, and reporting structure
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements
- Prepare the function for transition to an external managed services partner
Proactive Issue Identification
- Surface risks, inconsistencies, and gaps early
- Come forward with recommended solutions and next steps
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 3–7+ years of experience in financial coordination, FP&A support, or similar roles
- Proven ability to manage high-volume, detail-oriented data work with accuracy
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (data validation, organization, reconciliation)
- Experience working with structured datasets (tracking tools, financial systems, or similar)
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills across multiple stakeholders
- Self-directed and proactive — able to operate with minimal oversight
- Clear and professional written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Planisware, Planful, or similar PPM / FP&A tools
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI (data validation, reporting, or dashboarding)
- Background in technology vendor management, software licensing, or Software Asset Management (SAM)
- Experience supporting CapEx and OpEx planning cycles in a corporate environment
- Experience documenting processes for outsourcing or managed services transition
- Familiarity with portfolio tracking tools such as Smartsheet or similar

Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
