Job Purpose:
The Investment & Research Officer will lead the company's crypto asset research and trading strategy function. They will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and recommending digital asset investment opportunities — including cryptocurrencies, DeFi projects, NFTs, and ICOs — while providing actionable market intelligence to the CEO and the investment committee. This role combines fundamental and quantitative research with trading execution and automation oversight.
Tasks and Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth fundamental and technical analysis on cryptocurrencies, NFTs, DeFi protocols, and Web3 projects.

Evaluate tokenomics, project teams, market capitalization, and ecosystem trends.

Monitor new token launches, ICOs, airdrops, and emerging technologies in blockchain.

Prepare detailed research reports and weekly market insights for management and investors.

Develop and maintain crypto market models (on-chain analytics, sector performance, sentiment indices).

Recommend investment strategies (spot, derivatives, yield farming, staking, or arbitrage).

Track portfolio performance against benchmarks and produce monthly performance dashboards.

Supervise or execute trades on centralized and decentralized exchanges (Binance, Kraken, Uniswap, etc.).

Design, back-test, and monitor algorithmic trading bots using platforms like 3Commas, Pionex, or custom APIs.

Set stop-loss, hedging, and risk management parameters in coordination with the CEO.

Present weekly and monthly investment memos to the CEO and Board.

Maintain an internal knowledge base of research findings, project evaluations, and market data sources.

Ensure all trading and custody activities comply with internal risk and compliance frameworks.
Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or Blockchain-related fields.

3-5 years of experience in financial research, asset management, or crypto trading.

Proven track record in analyzing blockchain projects and managing crypto portfolios.

Experience setting up and maintaining algorithmic trading bots or API integrations.

Strong understanding of blockchain ecosystems (DeFi, Layer 1/2, GameFi, NFTs).

Proficiency in data analytics tools (Python, Excel, Dune Analytics, Nansen, etc.).

Excellent presentation and reporting skills for board-level communication.

Familiarity with portfolio management, risk metrics, and compliance standards.

Preferred - Experience with institutional crypto custody and fund management platforms (Fireblocks, Copper, Anchorage, etc.).

Preferred - Certifications such as CFA, CAIA, or blockchain-specific credentials (CBP, CCI).
