As a Financial Operations Analyst on the Accounting team, you will be providing support to Financial Operations while focusing on metrics reporting across the department.
What you will do:
  • Perform various reporting functions across the department and Accounting Group
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly metrics reporting to gauge volumes and patterns covering a wide range of operational and financial data.
    • Ensure accuracy and quality of presented data in a concise manner with analytical explanations and recommendations as warranted
    • Collate credit card activity across the organization to monitor spend levels and limits in conjunction with policy
    • Analyze vendor activity across the organization to identify spend opportunities across platforms and properties
  • Manage relationships with internal and external parties, such as:
    • Transition vendors from checks to ACH in coordination with external parties
    • Work cross functionally to resolve tenant payment issues and refunds in a timely fashion
    • Validate approval thresholds with Department Manager and Technology
  • Support the Financial Operations department, including but not limited to:
    • Input payments to various accounting/banking systems as a backup
    • Assist with escheatment and 1099 processing
    • Refresh vendor static data annually for accurate contact information
    • Help with maintaining various trackers across the department
  • Contribute ideas for scalable systems and processes to deliver quality service to our team, our residents, our vendors, or our investors.
Essentially … a utility player across the Accounting Team
What you should have:
  • Advanced Excel Skills with analytical, problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in accounting, finance or economics)
  • Technical ability to be able to interact with various systems (Yardi, MRI, Nexus a plus)
  • Understanding (1+ years) of accounting related to Payables and Receivables a plus
  • Strong understanding of financial / data management.
  • Ability to produce top quality deliverables, prioritizing under tight deadlines.
  • Solid writing / communication skills across various stakeholders.
  • Customer oriented to support our valued vendors and business partners in a positive fashion
  • A Drive for continuous improvement and ability to change; a desire to grow and take on ever increasing responsibility.
  • Doing any, or all of that, in a multi-family environment would be good too.

Base Salary: $70,000 - $77,000
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience & location.
