To maintain competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for a new Financial Operations Officer:


Job purpose:


Responsible for managing and investigating disputed transactions, processing chargebacks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and card network guidelines. Works closely with internal teams and external partners to resolve cases efficiently and minimize financial loss.


Key accountabilities and decision ownership:


  • Handle chargeback cases in line with company regulations and internal policies.
  • Manage collection fees processes in accordance with company regulations and internal policies.
  • Management and resolution of chargeback disputes.
  • Investigate chargeback disputes efficiently and accurately
  • Take suitable action to resolve the disputes including processing refunds and/or debits to merchants or merchants or writing off
  • Communication with internal teams and financial institutions to resolve disputes efficiently
  • Review and analyze chargeback claims to determine dispute eligibility
  • Gather, Prepare and submit compelling evidence to dispute chargebacks within strict deadlines.
  • Document findings, generate reports, and provide recommendations to improve disputes success rates.
  • Monitor and track chargeback cases to identify areas of process improvement
  • Monitor disputed transactions for possible fraudulent activity
  • Identify financial exposures and work internally with stakeholders for a recovery plan
  • Collaborate with internal teams including finance, operations, and customer support to gather settlement requirements and resolve related issues. Investigate and assist with customer support-reported tickets.
  • Utilize dashboards and reporting tools to monitor and analyze reconciliation and settlement data.


Must Have Technical / Professional Qualifications:


  • 1-2 years of experience in chargebacks, or financial operations support role; experience in SaaS or fintech industries is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with financial systems, reconciliation tools, or payment gateways is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools; experience with dashboards is a plus.
  • Experience in working with support ticketing systems is a plus.
  • Language: Fluent in English and native Arabic.
