Job Purpose
The FP&A supervisor oversees financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for development projects. This role partners with development, finance, and senior leadership to ensure project-level financial accuracy, evaluate investment opportunities, and drive data-informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for development projects.

Oversee and review financial models to evaluate viability, expected returns (IRR, NPV), and scenario analyses.

Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast; identify variances and provide actionable insights.

Collaborate with development, projects, and sales teams to collect data and understand project timelines, costs, and revenue assumptions.

Provide financial inputs for feasibility studies, land acquisitions, and strategic planning.

Analyze cash flow projections, funding needs, and financing options.

Prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and investors.

Supervise and mentor junior FP&A analysts, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting and models.

Support audits, due diligence, and compliance with internal controls and financial policies.

Job Specification (Qualifications)

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; and MBA or CFA is a plus.

6–8 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or real estate development finance.

Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with a deep understanding of real estate project metrics.

Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial software (e.g., Argus, Yardi, or relevant ERP systems).

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for large-scale development projects.

Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Proven leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring analysts.
