Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to serve as our Financial & Program Coordinator for Texas FCCLA. This role blends financial management responsibilities with program coordination, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both structured accounting work and dynamic, mission-driven program support. This is not a remote position.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Manage annual audit preparation w/accountants
- Disbursement of student scholarships
- Oversee payroll administration and ensure timely, accurate processing
- Maintain financial records and assist with budgeting and reporting
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and financial best practices
Program Coordination (Texas FCCLA)
- Coordinate and support Texas FCCLA programs, events, and initiatives
- Serve as a primary point of contact for FCCLA programs such as student scholarships, conference exhibitors, FCCLA store, student testing and management of student leader applications
- Assist with planning, logistics, and execution of conferences and events
- Maintain program records, and documentation
Travel & Event Support
- Travel to conferences, meetings, and events, particularly during the first six months of the year
- Provide on-site support for events, including setup, coordination, and participant assistance
- Occasional travel required throughout the remainder of the year
Required Qualifications
- Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administration
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Willingness and ability to travel as required
- Valid Driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with nonprofit or educational organizations
- Familiarity with event or program coordination
- Knowledge of accounting software and payroll systems
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Work Environment:
This position involves a combination of office-based work and travel. The role requires flexibility, especially during peak program months, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, event-driven schedule.
