Financial Research Assistant and Editor

What We Need

We write in-depth investment thesis articles analyzing publicly traded companies. We need an ongoing research assistant to enhance/edit these articles before publication.

Your Responsibilities

1. Fact-Checking

• Verify all financial figures against company filings and official sources
• Confirm the claims align with current market conditions
• Check that analyst ratings, price targets, and quotes are accurate
• Flag any outdated information or recent developments that contradict the thesis

2. Source Linking

• Add hyperlinks to all factual claims (company filings, earnings reports, news articles)
• Link to authoritative sources: SEC filings, Press releases

3. Visual Enhancement

• Find and embed relevant charts/graphs from noted sites where needed
• Add visuals that support key arguments (stock performance, valuation metrics, peer comparisons)
• Ensure all embedded charts are properly sourced

Ideal Candidate

• Background in finance, equity research, or financial journalism
• Comfortable reading 10-K/10-Q filings and earnings reports
• Understands financial statements and valuation metrics
• Detail-oriented with strong fact-checking skills
• Familiar with financial data sources (Bloomberg, Yahoo Finance, etc.)

Bonus: CFA candidate, energy/tech sector knowledge, experience with financial publishing platforms

Project Details

• Type: Ongoing freelance work
• Pay: Per-article rate
• Timeline: 12 hours turnaround per article
• Format: Fully remote
