Financial Services Business Associate

The Financial Services Business Associate provides financial and administrative support to the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine Business Operations department. The position supports the daily financial activities of the School of Medicine by processing and monitoring transactions related to travel and entertainment, purchasing, accounts payable, and other business services functions. The incumbent helps ensure compliance with University financial policies and internal controls while delivering high-quality customer service to faculty, staff, students, and external vendors. This role also serves as a key resource for travel reimbursements and financial processes across the School of Medicine and contributes to the efficient and effective operation of business services. This is a hybrid position, with three days onsite and two days remote. The full salary range for the Financial Services Business Associate is $66,878.64 - $97,760.16 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $66,878.64 - $73,257.48. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

Strong knowledge of financial data management and reporting systems. Proficiency in the use of spreadsheet and database software. Ability to function effectively as a member of a team. Working knowledge of financial processes, policies and procedures. Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources. Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a high volume environment, organizational skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment and decision making.
