Job Description


The Financial Systems Project Manager reports to the Associate Director, Financial Systems, and is responsible for supporting PeopleSoft Financials projects, including enhancements, integrations, system upgrades, and initiatives across key areas within the Financial Vice President’s division, including projects that pertain to: General Ledger, Budgeting, Procurement, Project Costing, third-party applications, and integrations. Primary responsibilities include leading project management efforts for strategic initiatives aligned with the Financial Management Systems fiscal year project plan, such as reviewing and enhancing current business processes with a technical solution, interface automation and providing support during system upgrades and maintenance. The Financial Systems Project Manager serves as a technical liaison for Procure to Pay and Grant Management administration to deliver ongoing process improvements, technical support, and maintenance. Additional responsibilities will include supporting associated reporting, security, documentation and ad hoc projects as requested by the Associate Vice President, Finance and University Controller.


Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $107,350 to $134,200; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

This is an in-office position.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficiency in PeopleSoft Financials
  • 5-8 years of application implementation and development experience with progressive growth in the areas of business analysis, process redesign, application configuration and development and project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading University-wide projects and contributing at all levels including project management, team leadership, mentoring functional and technical staff, and reporting to senior management.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial applications, and comprehensive understanding of how financial data and interfaces interact with other financial applications.
  • Experience with change management software and technical tools, such as SQL, PeopleTools and Application Engine.
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft report writer tools, nVision and Query.
