Finishing carpenter

Key Responsibilities

Perform high-quality finishing carpentry works including:

• Door and window frames installation
• Skirting, architraves, and cornices
• Wooden wall panels and decorative trims
• Wardrobes, cabinets, and custom furniture
• Staircase finishes and handrail

• Interpret shop drawings, technical layouts, and specifications accurately.
• Cut, shape, assemble, and install wood materials with millimeter-level accuracy.
• Apply finishing techniques such as sanding, polishing, laminating, veneering, and staining.
• Ensure all surfaces are smooth, aligned, and visually consistent.
• Repair, modify, or refurbish existing wooden fixtures as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the worksite — sloppy site, sloppy work.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, designers, and project managers to meet deadlines.
• Follow safety standards and proper use of carpentry tools and machinery.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in finishing carpentry techniques.
• Exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Ability to read and execute technical drawings accurately.
• Proficiency in using carpentry tools and power equipment.
• Knowledge of various wood types, laminates, MDF, plywood, and finishing materials.
• Time management skills and ability to meet tight project timelines.
• Problem-solving mindset with a quality-first attitude.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Finishing Carpenter.
• Proven experience in luxury interiors, fit-outs, or high-end residential projects preferred.
• Technical certification or vocational training in Carpentry is an advantage.
