Finishing carpenter

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, shape, and install wood, plywood, MDF, and other finishing materials.
• Install doors, frames, skirting, architraves, cabinets, wardrobes, shelves, and decorative wood panels.
• Perform high-quality finishing work such as sanding, varnishing, painting, staining, and polishing.
• Repair and refurbish existing wooden structures and furniture.
• Interpret and follow blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications.
• Ensure all installations meet quality and safety standards.
• Use hand tools and power tools (saws, drills, planers, routers, sanders).
• Collaborate with site engineers, supervisors, and other trades.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Complete tasks within project timelines.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a finishing carpenter or joinery carpenter.
• Strong knowledge of wood types, carpentry materials, and finishing techniques.
• Skilled in precision measuring, cutting, and installation.
• Ability to operate carpentry machines and tools safely.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Physical strength and stamina.
• Attention to detail and strong craftsmanship.
