Finishing carpenter

• nstallation: Installing crown molding, baseboards, casing, trim, doors, windows, and custom cabinets.
• Finishing Work: Sanding, patching, staining, or painting wood surfaces.
• Precision and Detail: Ensuring all woodwork fits perfectly, operates smoothly, and meets aesthetic standards, including repairing any flaws.
• Measurement and Layout: Reading, interpreting, and working from blueprints and technical drawings.
• Tool Operation: Using hand and power tools like saws, drills, routers, and sanders accurately.
• Project Completion: Finalizing trim, stairs, and millwork to make spaces functional and visually appealing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience as a finisher or trim carpenter, typically requiring an apprenticeship or several years in the field.
• Attention to Detail: High precision to ensure tight joints and smooth surfaces.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of woodworking, materials, and structural blueprints.
• Physical Stamina: Capability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift heavy materials for long periods.
• Communication: Ability to work with contractors, designers, and clients.
