Job Title: FinOps Analyst

Location: Dubai

Type: Contract (1 year Extendable)

Experience Required: 3–5 years

Position Summary:

The FinOps Analyst will support the day-to-day financial operations of CLIENT Department’s multi-cloud and multi-tenant environment (Private Cloud, Azure, AWS, Oracle Alloy/OCI). The role focuses on monitoring cloud usage, generating cost reports, supporting chargeback models, and ensuring accurate billing for ~200 government entities. This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills who is eager to grow into a FinOps career.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Usage & Cost Monitoring
Collect and analyze daily/weekly cloud consumption data across on-prem and public cloud platforms.
Generate usage and cost dashboards for internal teams and customer entities.
Identify anomalies or unexpected spend and escalate to the FinOps Specialist.
Chargeback / Show back Support
Maintain and update entity-level cost allocation reports.
Assist in implementing the multi-tenant cost recovery model.
Support monthly reconciliations with finance.
Billing & Reporting
Validate vendor invoices against internal usage records.
Support true-up/true-down license and subscription reconciliations.
Prepare cost summaries and presentations for management reviews.
Process & Governance Support
Document FinOps procedures and maintain compliance with financial policies.
Support audit readiness by keeping accurate cost data and evidence.
Participate in workshops and training to raise FinOps awareness across teams.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, IT, Data Analytics, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, IT operations, or cloud billing.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, VMware, OCI) is a plus.
Strong Excel and reporting skills; Power BI or similar tools preferred.
Basic knowledge of IT procurement, budgets, and licensing, Analytical mindset with attention to detail and Ability to communicate findings clearly to both finance and IT teams.
