Job Description:

As a Fire Alarm Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing comprehensive fire alarm systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. You will ensure all designs comply with local codes, NFPA standards, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and system layouts for fire alarm systems.
• Perform battery calculations, voltage drop calculations, and decibel level assessments.
• Select appropriate equipment, devices, and control panels based on project requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and local authorities for design approvals.
• Stay updated with NFPA standards and local civil defense regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fire alarm system design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or specialized fire alarm design software.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and local building/fire codes.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
