Fire Alarm Technician Helper

Job Responsibilities

• Assist lead fire alarm technicians with installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems
• Pull, label, and terminate low-voltage wiring according to plans and code requirements
• Mount devices such as smoke detectors, pull stations, horn/strobes, control panels, and annunciators
• Support system testing and troubleshooting under supervision
• Help perform routine inspections to ensure systems comply with NFPA, local, and state fire codes
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner
• Follow safety procedures, job site rules, and company policies at all times
• Document work performed and report issues to the lead technician
• Provide basic customer service when interacting with clients or building personnel
• Assist with inventory management and material handling
• Travel to job sites as required
