Fire Apparatus / Emergency Vehicle Technician

We are looking for an experienced, motivated Fire Apparatus / Emergency Vehicle Technician who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of keeping first responders ready when it matters most.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on fire apparatus and emergency response vehicles
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pumps
  • Inspect and maintain emergency lighting, warning systems, and auxiliary equipment
  • Conduct safety inspections to ensure vehicles meet DOT and departmental requirements
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to ensure rapid and reliable emergency response readiness
  • Document repairs and maintain accurate service records
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Work with service advisors and fleet managers to keep municipal vehicles operational and mission-ready

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum 3 years of heavy-duty diesel, emergency vehicle, or fleet repair experience
  • Experience with fire apparatus, municipal fleets, or emergency vehicles preferred
  • High school diploma or GED (technical training a plus)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet the physical demands of a hands-on role
  • Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail
  • CDL a plus, but not required
