Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Fire Fighting Engineer to design, implement, and supervise fire protection systems in compliance with the UAE Civil Defense regulations. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all firefighting systems are approved, installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with statutory requirements and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design firefighting and fire protection systems (sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, foam, clean agent, fire pump rooms, etc.)
• Prepare and review firefighting drawings, hydraulic calculations, material submittals, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with UAE Civil Defense authorities for design approvals, inspections, and final completion certificates.
• Supervise site installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of firefighting systems.
• Review architectural and MEP drawings to ensure proper fire protection integration.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure works are executed as per approved drawings and standards.
• Identify non-compliances and propose corrective actions.
• Prepare inspection requests, testing reports, method statements, and as-built drawings.
• Support audits, fire safety inspections, and authority requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications & Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Engineering, or related degree.
• Fire protection or life safety certifications are an advantage.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in the UAE as a Fire Fighting / Fire Protection Engineer.
• Proven experience dealing with UAE Civil Defense approvals and inspections.
• Strong hands-on experience with firefighting system design, installation, and commissioning.

Skills & Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of the UAE Fire & Life Safety Code of Practice.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and hydraulic calculation software.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet authority submission timelines.
• Strong attention to detail and compliance-driven mindset.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience on residential, commercial, high-rise and industrial projects in the UAE.
• Valid UAE driving license.
