Fire Fighting Technician – Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Commissioning
• Install, test, and commission fire alarm, sprinkler, and fire suppression systems as per design and safety standards.
• Maintenance & Inspection
• Conduct routine inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of fire fighting systems and equipment (pumps, hydrants, sprinklers, hose reels, fire extinguishers, etc.).
• Troubleshooting & Repair
• Diagnose issues in fire alarm and fire fighting systems (electrical/mechanical).
• Documentation & Reporting
• Prepare service reports, inspection checklists, and maintenance logs.
• Safety Compliance
• Follow safety protocols and ensure all systems meet fire safety codes.
• Emergency Support
• Provide immediate response in case of system breakdowns or fire emergencies.
• Team & Coordination
• Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, and contractors during installations and site activities.
• Guide helpers/assistants in carrying out tasks safely and efficiently.
• Assist in evacuation drills and fire safety training when required.
• Support Civil Defense inspections and testing procedures.
• Update records of testing and repairs for audits and authority inspections.
• Replace faulty parts, repair systems, and ensure quick restoration.
• Identify faults or potential risks and perform corrective maintenance.
• Maintain compliance with NFPA, Civil Defense, and local authority standards.
• Ensure correct placement of detectors, sprinklers, and extinguishing equipment.

Experience:

• Fire Fighting: 2 years (Preferred)
