Qualifications & Education:
- Education:
- BS Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other approved engineering field from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Professional Engineering (PE) license required
- Experience:
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of fire protection engineering and design experience, with increasing responsibilities working under the direction of a registered fire protection engineer.
- Experience must include direct work on construction projects. Experience working for a fire protection trade contractor is a plus.
- Design team management and/or project management experience in the construction industry.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, hydraulic calculation tools, and fire modeling software is a plus
- Strong understanding of Building and Fire Code and NFPA standards, especially NFPA 13, 14, 20, 25 and 72.
- Self-motivated and organized with good time management skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; cooperative, yet assertive; self-disciplined. Strong track record of leading projects within scope, time and budget constraints.
