Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Designer (NICET III or IV) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and layout of fire sprinkler systems, preparing complete submittal packages for AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) review, and ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards.

This position also offers opportunities to assist with project management and estimating. We are looking for a team player who takes pride in their work, strives for quality, and is eager to contribute to a winning team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret schematics, design documents, and technical drawings to ensure accurate system design.
  • Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, AutoSprink, SprinkCAD, HydraCAD, etc.) to produce system layouts and detailed drawings.
  • Apply a thorough understanding of NFPA and IFC codes & standards to maintain compliance and quality.
  • Conduct site surveys and job walks with clients to gather field information and assist with project execution.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to coordinate designs, schedules, and installation requirements.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in fire protection system design.

Qualifications

  • NICET Level III or IV in Water-Based Systems Layout (Required)
  • Proven experience in fire sprinkler system design and layout.
  • Proficiency in CAD-based design software (AutoSprink, SprinkCAD, HydraCAD, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of NFPA and IFC codes related to fire suppression systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience in the construction and fire protection industries.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
