Fire Sprinkler Designer - AutoCAD/HydraCAD

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing fire sprinkler systems in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical design, system schematics, and construction practices, with proficiency in CAD software and technical documentation.

Duties

• Interpret technical schematics, system design documents, and construction drawings using CAD tools like AutoCAD, HydraCAD, or AutoSPRINK.
• Utilize drafting skills to modify or create detailed drawings for system components and layouts.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure timely completion of installation projects.
• Document all work performed through detailed technical writing and reporting.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of mechanical knowledge related to fire suppression systems, including assembly processes and schematics.

Requirements

• Proven experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, HydraCAD, or AutoSPRINK.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, system design, drafting, and mechanical design processes.
• Familiarity with industry standards including NFPA-13 codes & standards related to fire sprinkler systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and construction documents accurately.
• Excellent technical writing skills for documentation purposes.
• Knowledge of system assembly processes and mechanical assembly techniques.
