Fire Systems Designer / NICET III or IV / RME-G (Engineering + Sales)

We are expanding our Fire Division and seeking a highly skilled NICET III or IV / RME-G who can both design systems and serve as a technical resource during client/project development.

What This Role Does

This position blends technical fire system design with relationship-based sales support:

Technical Responsibilities

• Create and sign fire sprinkler system design drawings in compliance with NFPA, state, and local code
• Perform hydraulic calculations
• Interpret construction plans & specifications
• Prepare submittal packages and coordinate with inspectors, GCs, and AHJs
• Oversee system layout, design adjustments, and commissioning support
• Serve as the Authority under RME-G license for the division

Inside & Outside Sales Responsibilities

• Attend builder/GC walkthroughs and project scoping meetings
• Support proposals by providing accurate material & labor estimates
• Act as the technical expert during client discussions
• Build and maintain relationships with:
• General Contractors
• Home Builders
• Commercial Facility Owners
• Developers & Project Managers
• Assist in identifying new install/service contract opportunities
• Represent Pro-TechT at occasional networking or trade events

What We’re Looking For

• NICET Level III or IV in Water-Based Systems required
• Texas RME-G license required (or ability to obtain/transfer)
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, 13R, 72, 25, and applicable state/local codes
• Ability to communicate clearly with both field techs and project stakeholders
• Comfort working on both commercial and residential projects
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Must be comfortable interfacing with builders and customers — this is not a sit-in-the-office-only role

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary + Bonus / Performance Incentives
• Expected range: $85,000 – $155,000+ depending on experience & license structure
