We are looking for skilled and experienced professionals specializing in the inspection, testing, and maintenance of firefighting equipment, fire alarm and gas detection systems. The ideal candidate will ensure that all inspections are completed efficiently and in compliance with industry standards and client specifications, playing a crucial role in safeguarding lives and property.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of all onsite firefighting equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Test fire alarm systems, including smoke detectors, fire alarms, and control panels, to verify operational readiness.
- Record findings from inspections and tests accurately, suggesting improvements and necessary repairs.
Maintenance - Preventive and Corrective
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on firefighting equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and part replacements as per manufacturer and regulatory standard guidelines.
- Identify and troubleshoot defects or malfunctions in fire alarm systems, performing corrective maintenance (CM) to restore systems to operational condition.
- Install and commission firefighting equipment, fire alarm systems, gas detection systems, and related components as per assigned project requirements.
- Ensure all work adheres to NFPA standards, manufacturer guidelines, and local fire safety regulations.
- Follow safety protocols and use appropriate tools and equipment during all tasks.
- Submit reports on inspected system performance and any corrective measures undertaken.
- Coordinate with site supervisor, engineers, foremen, and project teams to meet deadlines and ensure smooth workflow.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding system operations and maintenance requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or certification in Electrical, Electronics, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in fire alarm and gas detection system installation and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of NFPA standards and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
