Entry Level Firefighter I Annual Base Salary: $43,600 (May be higher depending upon qualifications and further certifications).

Fire/Rescue personnel work the Modified Kelly Schedule (1 24 hr shift on, 1 24 hr shift off, 1 on, 1 off, 1 on, off 4 days).

All career members are members of the department special operations team which includes hazardous materials and technical rescue disciplines.

All Training, uniforms and equipment are provided by the Department. Personnel are issued structure fire gear and technical rescue PPE.

Requirements

Must be 18 years old and have a High School Diploma or GED.

Possess a valid Tennessee Driver's License

Successfully pass an extensive background check

Pass a medical exam with drug test

Pass an Entry Physical Agility Test, Written Test, and Oral Interview Board.
