Position Overview:

EMS Rescue Service is seeking qualified and motivated Wildland Firefighters and EMTs to join our team in Hollister, CA. This role involves responding to wildland fire incidents, supporting fire suppression operations, and assisting with medical care when needed. Ideal candidates will have experience in wildland firefighting and a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and public service.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Wildland Firefighter Red Card or completion of a 67-hour Wildland Firefighting Certification
• Current EMT certification (preferred but not required for all roles)
• Ability to safely operate fire apparatus
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong physical fitness and ability to work in demanding outdoor environments

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Respond to wildland fire incidents and assist with fire suppression operations
• Operate fire apparatus and related equipment safely and effectively
• Perform fire line construction, mop-up, and containment activities
• Maintain situational awareness and adhere to all safety protocols
• Provide basic medical care within scope of practice (if EMT certified)
• Work collaboratively with fire personnel, incident command, and support teams

Work Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts
• Flexible scheduling based on operational needs and fire activity
