Firefighter/EMT I Part-Time

POSITION SUMMARY

Part-time firefighter under the direction of the shift captain, firefighters/driver operators perform structural and ARFF firefighting related functions as well as other duties as assigned.at Holston Army Ammunition Plant located at Kingsport, TN.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Respond to a variety of fire emergencies, including commercial structures, industrial processing facilities, and situations involving energetic materials.
• Investigate and respond to fire alarms, including sprinkler activations and deluge system activations.
• Respond to and mitigate hazardous material incidents as part of our hazmat team.
• Responding to medical emergencies.
• Respond to emergencies involving energetic materials, ensuring safety and mitigation.
• Conduct technical rescues, including confined space, high-angle, or other specialized rescue scenarios. Conduct fire inspections.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 18 years of age
• US Citizen
• GED or High School Diploma
• Valid drivers' license and driving history acceptable to the customer
• Ability to pass a background check acceptable to customer
• Ability to pass pre-employment Firefighter/DOT physical, Drug Screen, and Physical Ability Test (PAT)
• Must have DOD or Pro Board/IFSAC Firefighter II.
• Must have Haz-Mat Technician
• Must have NR-EMT/Paramedic.
• Preferred additional but not required: Fire Inspector, Technical Rescue: Rope, Confined Space, and Trench
