Firefighter/Paramedic

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Firefighter/Paramedic to join our emergency response team. This role is crucial in providing life-saving medical care and firefighting services to our community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to public safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency calls for fire suppression and medical assistance.
• Assess patients' conditions, administer first aid, CPR, and Advanced life support as needed.
• Operate firefighting equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Educate the community on fire safety practices.
• Maintain readiness of emergency equipment and apparatus through regular inspections and maintenance.
• Collaborate with other emergency services personnel during incidents to ensure effective response.
• Document patient care reports accurately and maintain records as required by protocols.

Qualifications

• State of Ohio Firefighter 1 or 2 Certification is required.
• State of Ohio Paramedic Certification is Required.
• ACLS certification
• CPR-BLS Certification
• Proficiency in assessing vital signs and providing first aid treatment.
• Mechanical knowledge for the maintenance of firefighting equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required by the job.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with team members and the public.

Pay: $18.25 - $18.75 per hour
