The Prince William County Office of Management & Budget is seeking an energized, dedicated, and dynamic professional for a Management & Budget Analyst position.

About This Role:
Analyzing, reviewing, and making professional recommendations for the allocation and distribution of revenues and expenditures for assigned County agencies; Providing fiscal and operational oversight for County agencies throughout the fiscal year; Providing advice on organizational and developmental performance and productivity improvements, and conducting program evaluation; Developing, presenting, and defending findings and recommendations; Special projects or managing assigned focus areas that are necessary to complete budget development and implementation (for example, state revenue coordination). Assist with training efforts to support customers and stakeholders, including developing training materials. To be successful, the candidate should have some expertise in a variety of analyses (statistical, forecasting), in addition to experience in enterprise database systems (specifically, Oracle EPM Cloud/Hyperion).

Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or G.E.D. and 4 years of related experience in fiscal, accounting, budget, or related analysis work or equivalency.

Preferences:
The successful candidate will have…
  • Professional work experience in local government budget analysis
  • Providing advice on organizational and developmental performance and productivity improvements, and conducting program evaluation
  • Extreme focus on providing the highest level of customer service to multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with supporting training efforts in a professional setting
  • Oracle EPM Cloud/Hyperion, Smart View, and Microsoft Excel experience

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday with some evenings and weekends from January to May. Telework is authorized for this position, but there is a need to attend some meetings in person within and around Prince William County. Note, the first six months of employment will require three days a week in the office at McCoart Government Center, 1 County Complex Court, Woodbridge, 22192.

Starting Salary Range:
$65,910 - $79,409 (salary range through the first quartile)
