Job Title: Fit-Out Engineer
Department: Construction / Interior Works
Reporting to: Project Manager / Construction Manager

Responsibilities of a Fit-Out Engineer
- Project Planning & Coordination
- Study and understand drawings, specifications, and project scope.
- Develop work schedules and sequences for fit-out activities.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades.
- Site Supervision
- Supervise and inspect ongoing fit-out works to ensure quality and compliance.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations are followed.
- Resolve any on-site issues related to fit-out works.
- Quality Control
- Ensure materials and workmanship meet required standards.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks at various stages.
- Prepare snag lists and follow up on rectifications.
- Procurement & Material Management
- Assist in sourcing and ordering required materials and finishes.
- Ensure timely delivery and proper storage of materials on-site.
- Check material compliance with approved samples and specifications.
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Track work progress against project timeline.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Attend coordination and progress meetings.
- Cost & Budget Management
- Monitor fit-out costs and avoid unnecessary expenses.
- Coordinate with the commercial team for cost estimations and variations.
- Client & Consultant Interaction
- Act as a technical liaison between client, consultant, and contractors.
- Attend design coordination and review meetings.
- Ensure client requirements and feedback are incorporated into the work.
Key Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of interior finishes (joinery, ceiling, flooring, partitions, MEP coordination, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Project coordination and time management
- Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project)
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in interior fit-out projects
- Experience in high-end residential, commercial, or hospitality fit-outs is a plus
