The Role
Job Title: Fit-Out Inspector (DMCC) Location: Dubai, UAE Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview We are seeking a technically qualified Fit-Out Inspector to oversee, inspect, and approve commercial and retail fit-out works within DMCC and JLT developments. The role requires strong knowledge of Dubai authority regulations, construction standards, and fit-out compliance processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all fit-out works meet approved drawings, authority requirements, safety standards, and quality benchmarks prior to approval and handover. This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring strong technical judgment, regulatory knowledge, and stakeholder coordination skills. Key Responsibilities • Inspect fit-out works across commercial, retail, and office units within DMCC/JLT zones • Review and verify compliance with: - Approved drawings and specifications - Authority regulations (DMCC, JAFZA, Dubai Civil Defence, etc.) - HSE standards and local building codes - Conduct site inspections at various stages of fit-out works (pre, during, and post-construction) - Issue inspection reports, snag lists, and non-compliance notices as required - Approve or reject fit-out works based on technical and regulatory compliance • Coordinate with: - Contractors and fit-out contractors - Consultants and project managers - Authority representatives and stakeholders • Review method statements, material submittals, and shop drawings related to fit-out works • Ensure fire & life safety systems, MEP works, and finishes comply with approved standards • Monitor rectification works and confirm closure of all snags and observations • Maintain accurate inspection records and approval documentation • Provide technical guidance to tenants and contractors on compliance requirements

Requirements
Technical Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in: • Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related discipline • Minimum 5+ years experience in: • Fit-out inspection, construction supervision, or QA/QC in the UAE Strong knowledge of: • DMCC / JLT fit-out guidelines and approval processes • Dubai Civil Defence, local authority codes, and UAE building regulations • MEP systems, fire & life safety, and interior fit-out standards Proven experience inspecting: • Commercial offices, retail units, and mixed-use developments • Ability to read and interpret: • Architectural, MEP, and shop drawings • Specifications and authority approval documents Skills & Competencies • Strong attention to detail and compliance mindset • Confident decision-making and technical judgment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage multiple inspections and sites simultaneously • Professional and firm approach when dealing with contractors and tenants • Proficient in inspection reporting and documentation • Good working knowledge of MS Office and inspection/reporting tools Preferred / Advantageous • Prior experience working directly with DMCC, JLT, or master developers • Background in authority approvals, compliance, or regulatory inspections • Certifications related to HSE, QA/QC, or Fire & Life Safety (advantage) • UAE driving license What This Role Offers • High-impact role in ensuring quality and compliance of fit-out projects • Exposure to premium commercial developments • Strong technical and regulatory responsibility • Stable, long-term opportunity within a regulated environment
