Job Purpose:

The Fit-out Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all interior fit-out activities of the project—from design coordination and procurement to execution and handover—ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Coordination
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and schedules for fit-out works.
  • Develop detailed fit-out programs, timelines, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate with design, MEP, civil, and architectural teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Execution Management
  • Supervise and manage all interior fit-out contractors and subcontractors.
  • Ensure materials, finishes, and workmanship meet project quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, safety, and quality compliance.
  • Procurement & Vendor Management
  • Review and approve material submittals, mock-ups, and samples.
  • Liaise with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Evaluate and select subcontractors in coordination with the procurement team.
  • Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Implement and enforce HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies on-site.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and manage snagging/defect rectification.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and project specifications.
  • Budget & Reporting
  • Track project costs, variations, and progress payments.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, delays, or issues promptly.
  • Handover
  • Ensure all fit-out works are completed as per the client’s expectations.
  • Coordinate with commissioning teams and facilitate final inspections and approvals.
  • Prepare as-built drawings, operation manuals, and handover documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
  • 8–12 years of experience in interior fit-out project management (commercial, retail, or hospitality preferred).
  • Proven track record of managing multiple fit-out projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and finishing works.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
