The Fit-Out Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules for interior fit-out works. The role ensures timely execution of activities in coordination with project teams, subcontractors, and clients while maintaining compliance with contractual requirements and project milestones.

Key ResponsibilitiesPlanning & Scheduling

  • Prepare detailed project schedules (baseline, recovery, and revised programs) using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Develop work breakdown structures (WBS) for fit-out activities including civil, MEP, joinery, finishes, and FF&E.
  • Identify critical paths, milestones, and potential delays.
  • Update schedules on a weekly and monthly basis and submit progress reports.

Project Monitoring & Control

  • Monitor actual progress against planned schedules and highlight variances.
  • Analyze delays and prepare Extension of Time (EOT) claims and mitigation plans when required.
  • Coordinate with site teams to ensure activities are executed as per approved programs.
  • Track procurement, material delivery, shop drawings, and approvals in line with project timelines.

Coordination & Reporting

  • Liaise with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers for planning inputs.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and dashboards.
  • Attend project meetings and provide planning updates to management and clients.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain proper planning records, schedules, and progress documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, client specifications, and company procedures.
  • Support claims, variations, and cost control teams with schedule-related data.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in interior fit-out or construction planning.
  • Strong experience in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
  • Knowledge of fit-out works including finishes, MEP coordination, and approvals.
  • Experience in UAE/GCC projects is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent coordination and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good understanding of construction sequencing and site operations.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and reporting tools.

Working Conditions

  • Site and office-based role.
  • May require extended working hours during critical project phases.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
