Fit-Out Project Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Fit-Out Project Engineer to manage and supervise interior fit-out projects from execution stage until final handover. The candidate should have strong experience in site coordination, project execution, subcontractor management, material follow-up, and client coordination within fast-paced fit-out projects.

The ideal candidate must be capable of handling multiple activities on site while ensuring quality, safety, and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and supervise interior fit-out works as per approved drawings and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers for smooth project execution.
  • Monitor daily site activities including civil, gypsum, ceiling, flooring, joinery, MEP coordination, painting, and finishing works.
  • Prepare and manage lookahead schedules and ensure timely completion of project milestones.
  • Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, and coordinate technical clarifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality standards and project requirements.
  • Attend client meetings, consultant meetings, and internal coordination meetings.
  • Ensure proper manpower allocation and productivity at site.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and monitor site material consumption.
  • Raise RFIs, WIRs, MIRs, and maintain proper project documentation.
  • Track project progress and report daily/weekly updates to management.
  • Coordinate with procurement and planning teams for smooth workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with project safety requirements and company procedures.
  • Handle snagging activities and final project handover documentation.
  • Support quantity surveying and billing-related site measurements when required.
  • Manage subcontractor performance and ensure work completion as per schedule.
  • Resolve technical and execution-related issues at site effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5+ years of UAE/GCC experience in interior fit-out projects.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial, residential, retail, and office fit-out works.
  • Experience in handling complete fit-out execution from drawing stage to handover.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Good knowledge of project coordination and site management.
  • Experience in preparing progress reports and lookahead programs.
  • Familiarity with authority regulations and consultant coordination.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • UAE Driving License is preferred.
