Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Write, update, and edit fitness commerce content including buying guides, product roundups, hands-on reviews, and shopping-driven stories

  • Translate fitness and nutrition jargon into clear, engaging language for a fitness-curious audience

  • Collaborate with Women’s Health editors, certified trainers, and subject-matter experts to ensure accuracy and authority

  • Pitch timely shopping content and evergreen guides aligned with reader needs and commerce opportunities

  • Support major commerce events like Prime Day and Black Friday/Cyber Monday with quick-turnaround coverage

  • Coordinate product call-ins for testing and visual assets, working closely with the visuals team

  • Partner with affiliate, SEO, and analytics teams to drive traffic and revenue while maintaining editorial integrity

  • Monitor performance and iterate based on analytics and editorial learnings

Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)

  • 3+ years of writing or editing experience in health, fitness, wellness, or commerce

  • Strong understanding of strength training, footwear mechanics, supplements, and training principles

  • Ability to write in Women’s Health’s warm, expert-but-approachable tone

  • A collaborative mindset and comfort working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments

  • Highly organized and able to pivot based on shifting editorial or business priorities

  • NASM or CSCS certification preferred

  • Established network of fitness experts, including trainers, physiologists, dietitians, and podiatrists

  • Hands-on experience testing fitness gear and familiarity with supplement safety

  • Experience working during high-volume shopping events like Prime Day or Black Friday

  • Hybrid work schedule with 4 days a week in our NYC office

The base salary for this role is between $67,000 - $76,500 . The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
