Job Title: Fitout Engineer

Department: Projects / Construction

Reports To: Project ManagerJob Summary

The Fitout Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising interior fit-out works at project sites. The role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. The Fitout Engineer works closely with project managers, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and clients to execute high-quality interior construction works.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Execution & Supervision

  • Supervise day-to-day site activities related to interior fit-out works.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
  • Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Monitor progress against the project schedule and report delays.

2. Technical Coordination

  • Review and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues on site.
  • Coordinate with design and engineering teams for drawing approvals and revisions.
  • Prepare and submit shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.

3. Quality Control

  • Ensure compliance with project quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and monitor workmanship.
  • Implement corrective actions when necessary.

4. Planning & Scheduling

  • Assist in preparing work programs and resource plans.
  • Monitor manpower and material allocation.
  • Track material deliveries and ensure proper storage.

5. Cost Control

  • Monitor project expenses and prevent wastage.
  • Assist in quantity take-offs and cost estimation.
  • Review subcontractor invoices and work progress claims.

6. Health & Safety

  • Ensure adherence to site HSE policies and procedures.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
  • Report and investigate incidents.

7. Client & Consultant Coordination

  • Attend site meetings with clients and consultants.
  • Address client queries and ensure satisfaction.
  • Support project handover and snagging processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–7 years of experience in interior fit-out projects within a contracting company.
  • Experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, or retail fit-out projects.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of fit-out materials and finishing works.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) is an advantage.
  • Understanding of MEP coordination.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10,000.00 per month
