The Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed and competitive cost estimates for interior fit-out projects, exhibition stands, joinery works, and related fabrication requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, material knowledge, and experience working with technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for interior fit-out and exhibition stand projects.
- Review project drawings, BOQs, specifications, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with the design, production, procurement, and sales teams to gather necessary information.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose value-engineering options.
- Obtain supplier/sub-contractor quotations and prepare comparison sheets.
- Estimate materials, labor, production hours, and overheads based on project scope.
- Assist in budgeting, pricing, and preparing proposals for clients.
- Track changes in project scope and update estimations accordingly.
- Maintain a database of material costs, production rates, and vendor pricing.
- Attend internal meetings to support project planning and handover.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience as an Estimator in interior fit-outs, exhibition stands, or joinery.
- Strong knowledge of materials, production processes, and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, technical specs, and BOQs.
- Proficient in MS Excel; knowledge of estimation software is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and time management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field (preferred).
