Fitter / Welder

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fitter / Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, fabrication etc. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in blueprint reading, fabrication, and welding processes. Your proficiency with various tools will be essential in delivering high-quality work that meets industry standards. Duties

• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of components.
• Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Core), and <LOCATION> welding techniques to join metals with precision and adherence to ASME codes & standards.
• Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and plasma cutters for cutting, shaping, measuring, piping, and fabricated parts.
• Operate machinery such as press brake machines, pipe threading equipment, and plasma cutters for fabrication tasks.
• Fabricate components for mechanical systems including piping assemblies, or structural frameworks while adhering to schematics and technical specifications.
• Maintain a clean workspace.

Qualification

• Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding processes, as well as <LOCATION> welding techniques.
• Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and other fabrication machinery.
• Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, machining operations, soldering, assembly processes, and rigging.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for measurements and fabrication specifications.
• Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team. Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour
