Fixed Plant Fitter

S Morris is looking for an enthusiastic person who is flexible, keen and hard working to become part of our team based in Amesbury.

We are recruiting for a Plant Fitter, which will involve maintenance and mechanical work on our fixed concrete plant. working on HGV and heavy machinery vehicles is only minor repairs.

Key responsibilities include:

Perform general daily maintenance checks,

Professionally react to breakdowns,

Have a good understanding of preventative maintenance,

Be able to complete paperwork to a high standard (i.e., job reports, check sheets),

Be able to perform basic repairs/ servicing on HGV,

Operate our loading shovel (Training provided if required)

Assisting in yard duties when required.

Pre-planned maintenance and avoiding downtime are a priority.

The ability to work on HGV's occasionally would also be useful.

Be able to maintain shuttle belts aggregate belts and bearings along with replacing mechanical components.

Experience preferred:

Previous maintenance experience,

Basic welding,

Understanding of mechanical engineering
