Job Purpose

The Flagman is responsible for directing and guiding vehicle, crane, and equipment movements on site to ensure safe and efficient operations. The role minimizes risk, prevents accidents, and ensures smooth traffic flow within work zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct vehicle, truck, and equipment movements using standardized hand signals.
• Guide cranes, forklifts, and heavy machinery during lifting or reversing operations.
• Ensure the work area is clear of obstacles and personnel before signaling movement.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers, operators, and site supervisors.
• Monitor site traffic and maintain safe distances to avoid collisions and hazards.
• Place cones, barriers, and warning signs to ensure safe working zones.
• Report unsafe conditions or near-miss incidents immediately.
• Follow all site-specific safety procedures and UAE HSE regulations.
• Assist in emergency or evacuation situations when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Flagman/Banksman (UAE/GCC experience preferred).
• Certified Banksman/Flagman (approved by TUV, CITB, OSHA, or UAE third-party training centers).
• Understanding of crane and vehicle movement safety.
• Ability to give clear and accurate hand signals.
• Good communication skills (English required; Arabic a plus).
• Strong awareness of hazards on construction and industrial sites.
