GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for managing vehicle logistics across the organization including procurement, maintenance, and utilization with emphasis on attention to detail and follow up. This position will ensure that all fleet vehicles are in proper working order and oversee departmental best practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain vehicle assignments and informing drivers of safety regulations and expectations per company guidelines.
• Develop and maintain relationships with insurance agencies, collision centers and internal/external partners.
• Conduct monthly vehicle utilization reports, quarterly mileage reports and present to upper management as needed.
• Track driver performance and counsel when needed with proper compliance procedures.
• Promote safety culture and cost-effective standards for fleet users thru monthly best practice messages. Prepare and communicate Fleet Usage Guidelines to all existing and new drivers.
• Perform and document inventory upon return from drivers.
• Performs special projects as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent organizational, communication and management skills required.
• Strong multi-tasking skills.
• Self-starter and ability to work alone.
• General computer knowledge.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience, with Basic Excel formula knowledge.
• Ability to perform in an environment with rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines. Fleet related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting is required. Requires ability to always handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and agency needs. Ability to travel. The role will also require some very basic fleet technician "hands on" maintenance and/or installation that we can train you on.
